Elected North Zone chairman

C. Natarajan, councillor of Ward 41, has been unanimously elected chairman of the Coimbatore Corporation’s North Zone. The election was conducted on Thursday ahead of the urgent Council Meeting of the Corporation.

Of the 19 councillors, who come under North Zone, 14 belonging to the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam expressed support to their colleague Mr. Natarajan.

The election to the chairman’s post was necessitated after the previous chairman, P. Rajkumar, resigned to contest, successfully, to the post of Mayor.
