The owner of the killer camel, whose bite killed Govind Trivedi to death and injured its care taker Phoola Mena, Lalsinh Rajput was finally booked by Bapunagar police for negligence.

AHMEDABAD: The owner of the killer camel, whose bite killed Govind Trivedi to death and injured its care taker Phoola Mena, Lalsinh Rajput was finally booked by Bapunagar police for negligence.
Inspector P D Parmar of Bapunagar police station said Rajput was booked under section 99-117 of GP Act. "According to the Act, on one can tie up or keep domestic animals in public places. Rajput had tied his camel to a tree on the footpath, which is a public place," added Parmar.
Bapunagar police officials said they have no power to arrest Rajput but will put the papers court and it will decide on Rajput's fate.

Lalsinh Rajput owns the camel named Raju. He had bought Raju from an animal fair in Siddhpur for Rs 27,000 and used it to pull a cart, to earn his living.
"Last Sunday, Raju had bitten Trivedi on his head, killing him on the spot. Raju also injured its caretaker, Mena, who had tried to help Trivedi," said a police official.
Meanwhile, Bapunagar Police got the camel medically examined by a municipal veterinary doctor. "The full report is yet to come, but the primary information says that camels become aggressive in the mating season, especially during winter," said Parmar.
