Inaam Ul Haaq who made a mark as a Pakistani who sells pirated Hindi DVDs in Filmistaan has now signed his next film.

Titled Chidiya, the film is an emotional drama set in a chawl in Mumbai. This story revolves around two young brothers aged seven and eight. “When I heard the narration I promptly said yes to the film. I play Taj Bhai, a tailor master. It’s a children’s film and I enjoy working with kids as I have done theatre workshops with them in the past. Chidiya’s story and chartacter are beautiful,” said the actor. This is the actor’s first film since Filmistaan released.

“I have three awards, but only one film to talk about. I don’t want to do a film just to increase the numbers. There should be something to do as an actor and my priority is to be part of good cinema,” said Inaamulhaq adding that his co-actors are Vinay Pathak and National award winning actor Amruta Subhash.

The film is being directed by a debutant Mehran Amrohi and will be shot on real locations. It is expected to release this summer.
