KOCHI: A team of revenue officials, headed by a deputy collector, on Tuesday inspected at D Cinemaas, multiplex at Chalakkudy owned by actor Dileep.
The team inspected various records at the theatre complex before reviewing records related to Dileep's land at East Chalakkudy village office and Chalakkudy taluk office.
Suraj T N, manager at the multiplex, said the "visit'' was to verify the functioning of the theatre and said the deputy collector has allowed them "to maintain status quo regarding the land.''
The inspection is believed to be the in the wake of a petition filed before the high court alleging that the multiplex is built on government-owned puramboke land that cannot be alienated or leased out.
