Malayali killed in Kenya

: A 44-year old native of Mannar was killed by robbers in Kenya, according to reports.

The deceased has been identified as Roy Abraham, who hailed from Uzhathil Puthenveedu in Kuttamperoor. The information regarding the death was conveyed on Wednesday by his sister, Lissy Abraham, who is also settled in Kenya.

According to his relatives, the deceased has been working in Nairobi for the previous 10 years. He was employed as a manager of a wheat farm. He was shot dead by a gang during a robbery attempt.

Roy had come to Mannar in March, last year, to attend the funeral of his father. He is survived by his wife and a daughter. The body is expected to reach here on Saturday, relatives said.
