INDORE: A under trial prisoner throw water bottle over a district judge in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday during hearing of case triggering panic in the court room. The accused was booked by police and send back to jail.
Sheru, accused under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), arms act and smuggling of cow, is a under trial prisoner at Mandsaur sub district jail.
On Thursday he was produced before first class judicial magistrate SK Joshi in hearing of his case when accused throw water bottle over judge. At the time of the incident four associates of Sheru who are also accused in the case, where present in the court room.
Sheru, a resident of Khilipuri of Mandsaur district, is physically handicapped and was in jail for last one year as under trial prisoner.
Mandsaur police said policemen present in the court room, who had taken to court from jail, overpower accused and immediately took them out of the court. Later on the direction of the court a Sheru was booked under section 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of IPC.
"While giving recording his statement accused asked for water and he was give water in a plastic bottle. After taking few sips accused throw bottle over judge," said police.
