Yellow weather warning in operation as thick fog causes travel disruption
A YELLOW weather warning is in operation this morning due to the thick fog in many parts of the country.
Met Eireann has warned that the fog will remain dense until about 11am this morning.
The weather warning is in place for all of Leinster, as well as Cavan and Monaghan.
There is also frost and ice in many areas, which will could worsen traffic delays.
"Tonight will be cold and mostly dry with frost developing over the eastern half of the country.
"Patchy drizzle will continue in the west and will give way to more persistent rain overnight", Met Eireann said.
DUBLIN: It's foggy along the M50 from J17 M11 to J3 M1. Use fog lights but remember to switch them off afterwards. http://t.co/EY0qAeQ9mE
