M. Chikkana has filed a complaint that his wife, Sharadamma, Janata Dal (Secular) councillor, has been allegedly abducted by Srividya Anand, CMC president, and her associates. A complaint was registered on Monday in Hassan city police station against Ms. Anand, her husband, her brother Rajani and driver Santhosh.

M. Chikkanna, a resident of Srinagara in Hassan, here on Wednesday, told the media that his wife Sharadamma, was allegedly abducted by Ms. Anand and her associates on January 15. “Ms. Anand came to our house on Monday and asked us to get in their car to meet JD(S) leader H.D. Revanna,” he said. Chikkanna said he and his wife were taken to Kushal Nagar and put up at Ms. Anand’s kin’s house.

The next day they dropped him at Kushal Nagar bus stand and took his wife along with them, he alleged. “My wife has not returned home since then,” he said.
