Free eye camp

Free eye camp was held for drivers as part of the Road Safety Week observation in the district on Wednesday.

Collector Darez Ahamed inaugurated the camp. A total of 350 drivers of school and college buses, autorickshaws, share autorickshaws and tourist taxis took part in the camp. Spectacles were provided to 18 persons and recommendation was made to conduct cataract operations for two persons.

T. Arivalagan, Regional Transport Officer, Pon. Karthik Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Satheesh Kumar, Divisional Manager of State Transport Corporation, and Kamaraj, Transport Inspector, participated.
