Foundation Gives $1.2m Medical Supplies

The Vodafone ATH Foundation with the help of partners Physionet UK and Spinal Injury Association has donated $1.2million of medical supplies and ability equipment to the Lautoka and Ba Mission Hospital.

The donation was facilitated by the Vodafone ATH Foundation which was part of the World of Difference programme (WoD) last Thursday.

Some of the supplies donated were dressings, bandages, hospital gowns and other ward and operational accessories.

Foundation executive Ambalika Kutty said that through its many philanthropic and social good programs, the Foundation has assisted many NGO’s hospitals, schools and other needy organisation and individuals throughout the country over the last 10 years.

“These medical supplies are in great need by the hospitals and will be put to very good use for the benefit of the people,” Ms Kutty said.

“Our efforts are to continuously support organizations, initiate projects and put in every effort to multiply and replicate its effects in catalysing real social change.

“Vodafone ATH foundation is committed to the development and improvement of individual lives and build a prosperous environment for all by extending our philanthropic approaches to all facets of society.

The acting medical superintendent West, Dr Luisa Rauto thanked the Foundation for the timely assistance.
