R Day traffic diversions from today

To facilitate Republic Day parade preparations, traffic diversions will be put in place on January 22, 24 and 26. On 22 and 24 and traffic movement will be restricted from 8am till noon. Vidhan Sabha Marg will remain out of bounds for motorists and people will have to take alternative routes

LUCKNOW: To facilitate Republic Day parade preparations, traffic diversions will be put in place on January 22, 24 and 26. On 22 and 24 and traffic movement will be restricted from 8am till noon. Vidhan Sabha Marg will remain out of bounds for motorists and people will have to take alternative routes.
Motorists heading towards Hazratganj crossing from Charbagh and vice versa will be diverted via Latouche road, Bansmandi crossing, Hewitt road to reach their destinations through Aminabad and Qaiserbagh areas.
Movement towards Charbagh will not be allowed via Cantt and KKC trisection route.
Motorists will be diverted through Sadar, Loco railway shed and Butchery ground. Moreover, motorists will be asked to take Sadar and Sisendi crossing route instead of heading towards Lal Bahadur Shastri building (state secretariat annexe building). Vehicles sporting secretariat passes will be allowed on the said route. Similarly, movement on Bandariyabagh crossing to Hazratganj crossing will be regulated. Motorists heading towards Rana Pratap crossing from Royal Hotel crossing will be diverted via Lalbagh.
From January 25 evening till the end of the parade next day, large scale diversions will be enforced around Hazratganj and Vidhan Sabha route. No movement will be allowed across Mayfair crossing, Janpath market, between Golf Club crossing and Hazratganj crossing, between Dunlop trisection and Alka trisection, Chiriyajheel to Hindi Sansthan, Mira Bai Marg to Hazratganj among other stretches in Hazratganj area.
