Naidu interacts with Premji, Indra Nooyi at Davos

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently in Davos to attend the annual summit of the World Economic Forum (WEF), met Wipro Chairman Azim Premji, Wal Mart International President, David Cheesewright and Pepsico CEO Indra Nooyi.

During his interaction with Mr. Premji, the Chief Minister urged Wipro to lend help in skill development and employment generation. He also sought Wipro’s cooperation to set up reverse osmosis water plants and health facilities under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Pepsico came forward to buy the entire mango output and expressed readiness to buy agricultural produce from Andhra Pradesh. The company also evinced interest in sale of packaged coconut water as also purchase of jowar, tomato, banana and papaya produce.

It also agreed to cooperate in regard to the digital education programme under CSR. Ms. Nooyi would be visiting Andhra Pradesh in March.
