The Director of Jipmer, Dr. T S Ravikumar, called on Lt General A K Singh to present him the Jipmer Golden Jubilee memento.

Dr. Ravikumar, who was accompanied by Dr. Badrinath, Project Consultant and Dr. Mamatha Gowda of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, also briefed the Lt. Governor about Jipmer’s ‘Clean Jipmer’ campaign, as part of the Swachh Bharat” initiatives, which aims to spruce up a 500-acre area around the institution.

Rolled out as a tripartite project involving Jipmer, the Government and Rotary Beach Town, the ‘Personal Pollution Prevention’ (PPP) project was launched in November to coincide with the Children’s day at Kendriva Vidyalaya Jipmer Campus.

According to Dr. Ravikumar, the aim of the campaign is to make the Jipmer campus and its surroundings a pollution-free zone that could serve as a model elsewhere.

Jipmer is also spearheading a “Swachh Chikitsalai Campaign” for best practices in Biometrical Waste Management, Sanitation and reduction of Hospital Acquired Infections.
