CREDAI petitions CM

January 21, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

With sand and cement price increase continuing for several months now, the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations (CREDAI) has demanded immediate action.

Its representatives have submitted memoranda at all the 13 collector offices in the State urging that it be taken to the notice of the Chief Minister.

The price of cement has gone up from Rs.225 to Rs.385 in a most unscientific increase, the CREDAI representatives said.

The Visakhapatnam chapter had formed a joint forum with all chapters of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and APREDA, TREDA, TBF, CII and BAI against the “arbitrary, illegal and cartelized” increase by Cement Manufacturers Association and had even gone on a purchase holiday from July 5 to the end of that month. But it had yielded no fruitful result thus far.
