RAFIABAD (BARAMULLA), Jan 20: MLA Rafiabad, Yawar Dilawar has expressed concern about the acute shortage of ration and cooking gas in the Kandi areas of his constituency.
Dilawar alleged that people of Kandi belt in his constituency especially in villages like Khohmooh, Brandab, Braman and Balhama are suffering due to shortage of ration and cooking gas. He added that the people in Rohama and Ladoora are also facing hardships due to scarcity of drinking water.
Seeking Governor NN Vohra’s personal intervention to redress the grievances of affected people, Yawar Dilawar said that the people of lower belts of Rafiabad constituency especially Behrampora, Achhabal, Hadipora Lissar, Zethan, Panzla, Binner and Kitardaji are also facing acute shortage of ration and drinking water supply while the un- scheduled power curtailment has made life of the people miserable.
Dilawar appealed the Governor to direct the heads of the concerned departments to re- activate men and machinery to redress the grievances of the hapless people who are at the receiving end and face brunt of chilly winter without any care from the administration.
He warned that the people will be forced to come on roads if their day to day burning problems are not solved without any further delay.
