The Malta women’s team will face Georgia, Andorra and Faroe Islands as the preliminary round draw of Euro 2017 was held at the UEFA’s Nyon headquarters yesterday.
The top two teams in the two preliminary round groups will join the 38 nations with the highest placings in the women’s rankings in the main qualifying draw.
Malta will have home advantage as the MFA have been chosen to stage the mini tournament between April 4 and 9.
The main qualifying round matches will be played between September 14, 2015 and September 20 of the following year.
The European Championship finals will be played in the Netherlands in July 2017.
