Sankalp Gupta and
Tanya Pande reigned supreme in the U-13 chess tournament, organized jointly by Green City Chess Academy and
Scientific Society, which concluded at the Rani Laxmi Hall here on Monday.
In the boys group, Sankalp of Centre Point School, Dhaba won the title pipping Roneet Das of
Jain Heritage School to second spot,
Tanya of Narayana Vidyalaya emerged champion in the girls category. Ananya Menkundale of BVM, Shrikrishana Nagar had to be satisfied with the runner-up spot.
In the school team championship, CPS, Wardhaman Nagar triumphed followed by Narayana Vidyalayam and BVM, Shrikrishna Nagar.
In the girls team event, BVM, Shrikrishna Nagar, clinched the crown. CPS, Wardhman Nagar and Sanskar Vidya Sagar School finished second and third, respectively.
