Bodybuilder from city bags silver medal

Krishna University bodybuilder K. Bala Krishna won a silver medal in 60kg weight category at all India inter-university championship held at Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

A first year graduate at Satavahana College, Bala Krishna, won many medals at the national-level competitions and this is his maiden medal at the all India varsity level.

Important achievement

“This is an important achievement as Bala Krishna finished second among 65 best builders in the varsity circuit. He won South India gold in 2012 and bronze in senior Nationals in the same year. He was also awarded “Mr. Andhra” title seven times,” said Dr. Srinivasa Rao, Secretary, Sports Board, KRU, here on Monday. Krishna University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vunnam Venkaiah, Registrar Prof. D. Surya Chandra Rao, and others congratulated him the athlete on his achievement.
