Okada said he wants to rebuild the DPJ by returning to its starting point.

What else can they do ? Goold old time when DPJ was covering TEPCO after 3/11 and Edano drawing the deal for the bailout....

None of this matters to anyone!

“We are a party for consumers, ordinary citizens, taxpayers and working people,” “The DPJ seeks to have a diverse, tolerant society which recognizes various values… and we also have to be a reformist party.”

So which party isn't/doesn't?

DPJ is doomed to fail, unless they put forth a concrete alternative to Abenomics few would have any reason to vote for them. If they are just another LDP with different ugly faces, who cares? That's why it took a few incompetent LDP administrations for loopy Hatoyama and team to get elected in the first place.

DPJ obivously has a lot of baggage to carry that prevents them from charting out a different course. The Ishin party is a much better option if one is reform minded.
