Voice on Abe's statement to mark the 70th anniversary of WWII

Yasuo Fukuda, former Japanese prime minister,

saying that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe could gain international recognition of Japan's pacifist efforts after WWII and remove doubts on its stance toward its wartime past by apologizing in a statement to mark the 70th anniversary of the war's end, quoted by Reuters on Monday.
