Vadodara applauds soulful shayari

VADODARA: After electrifying performances by folk artists on Saturday, poets and shayars set the mood for a perfect evening on Sunday. Gujarat's well-known poets and shayars recited couplets amid loads of 'waah waah' from the audiences during the Garvi Gujarat concert organized by VadFest. Much to the pleasure of the performers, the arena at Navlakhi Ground was jam-packed on Sunday evening.So much so that additional chairs had to be brought in to accommodate the audience in the VIP section.
From eminent Gujarati poet Khalil Dhantejvi and Wasim Barelvi to Rahat Indori, Rajendra Shukla and Shobhit Desai, poets recited best of the verses. And the the best was reserved for the last. Prominent Gujarati ghazal singer Manhar Udhas enthralled the audiences by his soothing voice and unique performance.
