Manyisa close to Downs deal

Cape Town - Rumours of Oupa Manyisa joining Mamelodi Sundowns continue, with one report stating the move will be confirmed this week.

Orlando Pirates chairman Dr Irvin Khoza and the club have denied having had talks with Sundowns over Manyisa.

But according to a source quoted by the Goal website, there has been communication between the two clubs, and the 26-year-old Bafana Bafana midfielder could well be on the way to Pretoria.

"The move is still on the cards. Sundowns have tabled the offer, and the club is still looking into it, but Ace will eventually move to Sundowns. The deal could be announced during the week," an unnamed source was quoted as saying.

Talk of Manyisa joining the Brazilians initially broke last week when Manyisa's agent Thabo Moloto told Ukhozi FM"As things stand, Oupa is a Mamelodi Sundowns player . The two clubs have agreed on a deal and the only issue is the transfer fee which the chairman will sit and discuss.

"Oupa is happy to be making the move because he feels he’s already achieved a lot at Pirates.

"There’s been a lot of Cup finals, back-to-back trebles, and Oupa felt that he’s achieved a lot at the club and it was time to move on."
