2 hurt as 2 buses sandwich taxi on EDSA in QC

A man and his daughter were injured after two buses sandwiched a taxi at the corner of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue and East Avenue in Quezon City Monday afternoon.

The driver of the NJ Transport taxi was unhurt but two pedestrians crossing the street were injured, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported.

An initial investigation showed the taxi stopped at the intersection when it was hit from behind by an NS Trans bus.

The impact threw the taxi forward, and it hit a Joanna Jesh bus.

"Naka-stop ako sa intersection galing East Avenue. Yung NS Trans matulin, biglang binundol ako," said the taxi driver.

A rescue team brought the father and daughter to a hospital for treatment. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
