Long live the flash-drive budget

Maybe it's not an earth-shattering reform. Or really even an innovative one (this is 2015, after all).

But two thumbs up to Gov. Doug Ducey and his staff for not wasting money or killing 17,000 trees to print his executive budget. The document was delivered to lawmakers and the press via inexpensive flash drives, and the whole thing was promptly posted online.

Let's hope lawmakers follow suit with their budget versions. We're far past the era of loading up pages with budget stacks taller than their heads to deliver to the House and Senate floors.
