4 booked for illegally trading black jaggery

The district police have opened a rowdy sheet against four persons for illegally trading black jaggery and encouraging brewing of illicit liquor.

Superintendent of Police A.K. Jha in a statement said cases were booked and rowdy sheet opened against Bellam Sivudu, Porulla Santosh, Vali Baba of Parkal, Regonda and Eturunagaram mandals and Bathini Mahender under Mills colony police stations limits here.

The district police are taking special measures to control and regulate sale and transport of black jaggery, he said.
