China Rajappa to adopt J. Timmapuram

Home Minister N. China Rajappa on Sunday announced he would adopt J. Timmapuram village in Peddapuram Revenue Division under the government’s ‘Smart Andhra Pradesh’ programme. Launching the programme in the village, Mr. Rajappa said individual sanitary latrines would be built in the village to ensure proper sanitation. He also called for improving literacy rate, which was just 58 per cent in the village. “Since I am representing the Peddapuram Assembly constituency, I have decided to adopt this village,” he said.
