Indianapolis Colts tackle Xavier Nixon (71) looks on from the sidelines during the second half of an NFL football game against the Dallas Cowboys, Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, in Arlington, Texas.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Indianapolis Colts have already ruled out another healthy player from Sunday's AFC championship game at New England.

Backup offensive lineman Xavier Nixon missed the team's charter flight from Indianapolis to Providence, RI, the team announced. The team reported to the league office on Saturday evening that Nixon will not play.

The team earlier Saturday ruled out running back Trent Richardson, who did not travel with the team because of what the team described as "personal reasons."

The Colts also placed backup linebacker Josh McNary on the commissioner's exempt list -- a suspension with pay -- after he was arrested on a rape charge.
