'Love Jihad' issue
As Kareena and Saif belong to different religions, the former's face was used as the centre of a campaign in a magazine. According to the cover of the magazine, one side of Kareena's face was wearing a niqab and other side had a Hindu woman look with bindi and sindoor.
Saif once gave his views on the issue saying, " I don't know what 'love jihad' is. It is a complication created in India. I know intermarriages because I am a child of one and my children are born out of it. Intermarriage is not jihad. Intermarriage is India. India is a mix."
