Arrangements for Republic Day reviewed

All the arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium would be completed by January 23. Authorities are expecting nearly 15,000 to 20,000 to participate in the celebrations, said Additional IG Gautam Sawang here on Saturday.

Mr. Sawang along with Krishna Collector A. Babu, City Police Commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao, Municipal Commissioner G. Veerapandian and other senior officials reviewed the arrangements at the venue.

On the Republic Day , Governor E.S.L Narasimhan would inspect the Guard of Honour between 7.30 a.m. and 7.45 a.m. and later give his message.

He is likely to leave to Hyderabad from the venue at 9.05 a.m. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would unfurl the tricolour at 9.30 a.m.

Police authorities appealed the police and the invitees to follow instructions, especially park their vehicles in the lots allotted to them, said a press release.
