Amil beats Aesh to lift under-13 boys singles title; Naman crushes Peehushi, claims under-15 girls singles title

JAMMU, Jan 16: Amil defeated Aesh Goswami and lifted under-13 boys singles title, whereas Naman crushed Peehushi and claimed under-15 girls singles title in the ongoing 41st J&K State Badminton Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association at Police Badminton Hall, here.
In under-13 boys singles, Amil beat Aesh Goswami in final and lifted title trophy. Earlier, Amil defeated Aryan Sharma in first semifinal, whereas Puranjay lost to Aesh Goswami in the second semis.
Aesh and Puranjay beat Rajbir and Prajwal and lifted under-13 boys doubles title.
In under-13 girls singles, Naman will take on Bhavani in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Naman defeated Sharuti Ashok in the first semis, whereas in the second semis, Bhavani smashed Rashmi Kashyap in second semis.
In under-13 doubles, Naman and Bhavani beat Rashmi and Sharuti in the final. Earlier, in the first semis, Naman and Bhavani defeated Mirnalini and Anandita, whereas in the second semis, Ayushi and Riya lost to Rashmi and Sharuti.
In under-15 boys singles, Vidhant will lock horns with Amil in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Savinay lost to Vishant in the first semis, whereas in the second semis, Aesh Goswami lost to Amil.
In under-15 boys doubles, Savinay and Amil beat Puranjay and Aesh in final. Earlier, in the first semis, Savinay and Amil beat Sayam and Aditya, whereas in second semis, Yashandar and Aryansh lost to Puranjay and Aesh.
Naman beat Peehushi in final match and lifted under-15 girls singles title trophy.
In under-17 boys singles, Divum Gupta and Raghav Dogra will lock horns in final. Earlier, in the first semis, Divum Gupta beat Amit in first semis, whereas in second semifinal, Adam lost to Raghav Dogra.
In under-17 boys doubles, Divum and Raghav will clash with Amil and Adam in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Divum and Raghav defeated Amit and Kunal in the first semis, whereas in the second semifinal, Adishwar and Satyam lost to Amil and Adam.
In under-17 girls singles, Naman will clash with Peehushi in the final tomorrow.
In under 19 boys singles, Divum Gupta will clash with Raghav in final tomorrow.
In under-19 boys doubles, Adam and Dhanjay will clash with Savinay and Raghav in the final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semis, Adam and Dhanjay crushed Kunal and Amit, whereas in the second semis, Vikram and Amil lost to Savinay and Raghav.
In under-19 girls singles, Rupal lost to Naman. Naman will clash with Peehushi in final tomorrow.
In under-19 girls doubles, Naman and Peehushi outclassed Rupal and Mitakshara in the final. Earlier, Naman and Peehushi beat Bhavni and Rashmi in first semis, whereas in the second semifinal, Reetika and Swati lost to Rupal and Mitakshara.
In men singles, Vipul will clash with Divum Gupta in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Vipul beat Munish in the first semis, whereas in the second semis, Sunil lost to Divum Gupta.
In men doubles, Vipul and Vikram will lock horns with Rahul and Shantil in final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semis, Vipul and Vikram beat Sunil and Munish, whereas in the second semis, Rahul and Shantul defeated Vasu and Aman.
In women singles, Diksha Kalsotra will take on Prabhjyot in final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semis, Diksha Kalsotra smashed Suvidha, whereas in the second semis, Diksha Mahajan lost to Prabhjyot.
In women doubles, Diksha and Akanksha will clash with Diksha Mahajan and Prabhjyot in final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semis, Diksha and Akanksha beat Suvidha and Rupal, whereas in second semifinal, Naman and Peehushi lost to Diksha Mahajan and Prabhjyot.

The championship is being organized to select J&K team for the Senior National Badminton Championship to be held at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh from January 29 to February 5.
The Championship is being organized by J&K Badminton Association under the supervision of Balbir Jamwal, organizing secretary of the Championship.
