Chancellor of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Zafar Sareshwala, noted that the university needs to collaborate as much as possible with other reputed universities in the world and the industry.
While delivering his address at the Intellectual Forum on the topic ‘Role of Urdu University in education of Muslims in India’ here on Friday, Mr. Sareshwala said MANUU should create a balance between the promotion of Urdu and employability of its students. Vice-Chancellor Mohammad Miyan informed the participants that the university had already made General English compulsory for students. He attributed vacant seats in some departments to the lack of continuity of Urdu medium education from school to PG and research level.
