Star Wars: Luke, Leia, And Han Set To Appear In Next Trailer

The first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens managed to stoke the excitement of fans without revealing the classic characters returning for the new film, yet according to a new report, those familiar faces will be once again gracing movie screens sooner than anticipated.

The Latino Review, source of numerous Star Wars leaks in recent months, is reporting that the next trailer for The Force Awakens will debut with one of the summer’s most anticipated films, giving fans their first official look at several familiar characters. They claim that the second Star Wars teaser trailer is set to be attached to The Avengers: Age Of Ultron when it is released on May 1, and that Luke, Leia, and Han are all intended to be in it.

Though the first teaser revealed to fans an entirely new side of the much-beloved world, the only glimpse of the classic Star Wars universe that it offered was a revamped Millennium Falcon and new X-wing fighters, as the Inquisitr previously reported. Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia, the three main characters from the original Star Wars trilogy set to return in the new film, were notably absent, although fans were introduced to new Sith character Kylo Ren, replete with a much-debated crossguard-equipped lightsaber. As the Telegraph notes, the trio are now set to make their official return to the roles in the next trailer, 32 years after they last appeared in a Star Wars film together.

If the three characters do indeed return in the next teaser, it is also highly likely that Star Wars fans will find other characters joining them. With Ford’s Han Solo in the trailer, it would be no surprise to see Peter Mayhew’s Chewbacca at his side. Fans are also speculating that R2D2 and C-3PO could be featured in the trailer, and if that is the case, it would mark the first time that all six characters have appeared onscreen together since the end of the original Star Wars trilogy.

The next Star Wars trailer, if it appears in American theaters on May 1, will first be shown to fans across the Atlantic, as Age Of Ultron opens there in late April. It seems likely, therefore, that the trailer may actually debut online ahead of its appearance in theaters, just as the first teaser did, meaning Star Wars fans may have even less time to wait before their favorite characters are once again revealed.
