NYPD recovers ‘WMD’ at housing development

Anti-crime cops recovered a “WMD” from a Bronx housing development, the NYPD tweeted Friday.

The 40th Precinct’s official account posted the photo of what appears to be an explosive launcher at 12:36 p.m., along with the message “Great work 40 Anti-Crime1 for an arrest&gun [sic]” and the hashtag “PattersonHouses.”

The NYCHA Patterson Houses stretch between Morris Avenue and Third Avenue in Mott Haven.

The tweet also included a shot of a black handgun with five rounds.

Additional details about where and how the weapons were found, or how the suspect may have been planning to use them, were not immediately released.
