Nigerian Cafe Neo Hopes To Become Africa’s Starbucks

Finding a decent cafe latte or a frappuccino is difficult in Lagos, Nigeria. This is mainly because only a few people in these west Africa city have an acquired test for an espresso and most of them are returnees from western countries such as the US and other European countries.

Two brother however have decide to fill this gab and create a starbucks-styled coffee house named the Cafe Neo. Ngozi Dozie and his brother have created a chain of Cafe Neos that seek to conquer Africa’s top cities with their 100 percent African coffee.

They already have three outlets in Lagos and one in the Rwandan capital Kigali where the finest Arabica coffee beans come from.

“It’s a new way to coffee where we Africans drink the coffee that we produce as opposed to exporting it and importing sub-grade coffee,” Dozie told CCTV Africa.
