Tanki ‘death’ cuts Kalyan-Iraq line
KALYAN-DOMBIVLI: Reports of the death of Kalyan youth Shaheen Tanki while serving the ISIS in Iraq have added to the anxiety of the familes of the two other young men from the city fighting for the Islamic militia.
Tanki was the only one who used to make calls home and give information about the others.
Before he finally returned home, Areeb Majeed, a fourth youth from the city who had left with Tanki, Aman Tandel and Fahad Shaikh, would also call once in a while.

Now, Tandel’s and Shaikh’s families have had no news about them for more than a month-and-half.
Early this week, a person in Tanki’s friend circle received a message from an unknown number in Iraq saying he was dead.
Intelligence agencies are verifying whether Tanki has actually died. Such verification is not easy as the youths are in an area where India or even the legitimate government in Iraq has no access. Sources said agencies would consider him dead only if there was clarity.
The Tanki family, though, denied that any of his friends had received the message about his death.
