Mukund's ton gives Tamil Nadu lead

CHENNAI: The Chepauk pitch had a lot in it for the spinners and UP captain Piyush Chawla was expected to do the job for his team. But Chawla (1131) was completely dominated by Tamil Nadu captain Abhinav Mukund (140, 11x4) as the home team took a commanding 178-run lead in the first innings by stumps on Day 2.
Tamil Nadu had piled up 360-7 with B Indrajith (77 batting, 8x4) and R Malolan (16 batting, 1x4) at the crease.For the visitors, left-arm spinner Ali Murtaza returned with figures of 4-117. The day, of course, belonged to Abhinav.
