There was increased traffic flow on NH 65, Narketpally-Addanki road and Hyderabad-Nagarjunasagar State highway since many people from Hyderabad were heading to their native places for Sankranti festival. The toll plazas on NH 65 at Panthagi and Korlapahad were crowded with vehicles. The authorities have made necessary arrangements to clear the traffic by providing more lanes for vehicles proceeding towards Vijayawada. Meanwhile, a DCM vehicle carrying sheep overturned on NH 65 at Chivvemula village killing as many as 15 sheep. The driver and the cleaner of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
