Ranji Trophy: Delhi post 353, reduce Odisha to 25/1 on weather hit Day 2

Manhas, who was on 55 overnight, added 29 more runs today, hitting seven fours and a six in his 205-ball innings of nearly five hours.

For Odisha, pacer Basant Mohanty took four wickets today to end with innings figures of 5/76.

In reply, Odisha were 25 for one in their first innings with opener Girjia Rout and Govinda Podder batting on 14 and
one respectively at the draw of stumps.

Bhatt century takes Gujarat to mammoth score

Rujul Bhatt smashed a sparkling 150 as Gujarat piled up a mammoth 513 for 8 declared to put themselves in the drivers’ seat on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Group B match against Punjab.

Resuming the day at 284/4, Gujarat added 229 runs in 81 overs before declaring their innings towards the end of play at the Sardar Patel Stadium at Motera.

In reply, Punjab were nine for no loss from seven overs in their first innings with Jiwanjot Singh and Uday Kaul batting on three and five respectively at the draw of stumps.

Maharashtra take slender lead against Rajasthan

Riding on useful fifties by Chirag Khurana and Shrikant Mundhe, Maharashtra on Wednesday managed to eke out a slender but crucial four-runs first-innings lead in their Group B Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan.

In reply to Rajasthan’s first-innings total of 270 all out, hosts Maharashtra had reached 274 for nine by the end of
second day’s play at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

Vidarbha post 583/9 dec; reduce Saurashtra to 20/2

Having posted a massive first innings total of 583 for nine declared, Vidarbha reduced Saurashtra to 20 for two at the end of the second day’s play of their Ranji Trophy Group B match.

At stumps, Sagar Jogiyani was batting on 13 and Cheteshwar Pujara was yet to open his account.
