Road safety campaign
The Road Transport Authority (RTA) held a meeting to sensitise private contract bus drivers about road safety. More than 80 drivers attended the meeting which was addressed by T. Raghunath, Joint Transport Commissioner, Hyderabad. The contract drivers were shown films on road safety, and advised on how to drive buses properly at night, keeping in mind the kind of accidents that can take place due to negligence. Officials said that drivers from big transport operators like Kesineni, Sony and Orange were also present at the meeting, which was conducted from 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
