One held for circulating morphed image of minister

A youth has been arrested on charges of morphing the face of Kerala’s Industries Minister and Muslim League leader P K Kunhalikutty on Aamir Khan’s semi-nude figure in the poster of pk.

Police said Thottungal Yahiya had circulated the morphed image through social media. Yahiya, 25, was produced before the court, which granted him bail. Hailing from League stronghold Malappuram, he was charged under section 66 A of the IT Act.

In the film’s poster, Khan is seen standing on railway tracks with a radio. In the morphed picture, the Kerala minister was shown that the Kerala minister was holding an ice-cream cup. (Kunhalikutty had been in the thick of the ice cream parlour sex scandal in which a brothel ran under the cover of an ice cream parlour in Kozhikode).

Yahiya had uploaded the morphed image in the social media on January 10. The arrest was made based on a complaint from a person named N Shihabudeen.
