CHENNAI: A 38-year-old man hanged himself from the ceiling at a lodge in Triplicane on Monday night.
P Ravichandran was staying in the lodge at Azuddin khan Bahadur street for a week and was working in a textile showroom in T Nagar.
A native of Pudukottai, he stopped going to work for past one week, police said.
Ravichandran remained indoors and did not mingle with friends.
Meanwhile, on Monday night, he locked himself. Since he did not open the door for longtime, police broke open the door only to find him hanging.
They lowered the body and sent it for postmortem to government Kilpauk Medical college and hospital. He did not leave behind any suicide note. Police suspect depression over his work could have drove him to commit suicide.
