The state registered almost double the national average growth rate of 3.7% in the sector
"Agriculture and allied activities' account for almost one-fourth (24.2%) of Madhya Pradesh's economy as of 2012-13, however the sector's share has fallen from about 28% in this regard as of 2004-05," it added.

"A robust road network would facilitate better goods distribution and promote market development," said D S Rawat, national secretary general of ASSOCHAM.
MP has recorded highest share of about 8 % out of the total 20 % share of all BIMARU states in new investments attracted by power sector across India.
Though MP has registered good improvement in infant mortality rate during 2001-2010, ASSOCHAM study has suggested for an urgent need to improve healthcare system .
