The Central Board of Secondary Education has made it mandatory for all affiliated schools to display warnings to ensure that children do not fall prey to the tobacco menace and are aware of the risks.
It has issued an order to put up display boards at the entrance, reception area, cafeteria and other prominent places in the premises. The display board should also warn that “sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products in an area within the radius of 100 yards of any educational institution is a punishable offence".
