P&G Recognizes Agencies With 'Partner Excellence' Award

Procter & Gamble recognized four ad agencies among what it called its top-performing global business partners for the past year including creative shop SelectNY, Carat, Starcom and Saatchi & Saatchi X.

The four shops won P&G’s “External Business Partner Excellence Award.” The packaged goods giant has 75,000 external vendors, suppliers and agencies that it works with and some 500 were evaluated for the award. Just 1% actually received it.

Several SelectNY offices were cited for their work for brands, including Fekkai, Wella, Christina Aguilera fragrance and haircare line,  Nioxin, Sassoon and Sebastian. Carat was cited for North American Planning and Starcom was recognized for its UK TV and digitial activation team. Saatchi & Saachi X was recognized for shopper marketing expertise.

Speaking at the partner awards event last Thursday in Cincinnati, A.G. Lafley, P&G’s chairman, president and CEO, told those gathered that “P&G’s ask of you is that you partner with us on innovation. Partner with us on productivity. Let’s work together as partners to create value for each other, for consumers and for our industry.”

Seven of P&G’s partners won Partner of the Year Awards, but this year no ad shops made the cut.
