Accident claims 4 lives in Banaskantha district

Four persons of an orchestra party including three women were killed while one other was seriously injured in an accident outside Pansa village on Danta Road near Ambaji in Banaskantha district on Sunday.

PALANPUR: Four persons of an orchestra party including three women were killed while one other was seriously injured in an accident outside Pansa village on Danta Road near Ambaji in Banaskantha district on Sunday. The injured has been referred to the civil hospital in Palanpur.
The accident took place when the Maruti car in which they were traveling collided with a tractor trolley that was loaded with sand.
Inspector J D Sutariya of Ambaji police station said all five persons belonged to Swar Sandhya Party in Mehsana and were on their way home after rendering a programme at the Iscon temple in Ambaji where they had come on Saturday.
Two persons died on the spot while two others died on the way to the hospital. The tractor driver lost control after his vehicle collided with the car on the hill slope and it turned turtle.
The deceased have been identified as Mitalben Parmar of Kalol in Gandhinagar district, Parulben Soni of Kukarwada village along with a couple Hemant Parmar and Nikitaben Parmar from Khansa village in Vijapur taluka of Mehsana.
