Connoisseurs of art, music, dance and drama were enthralled by a variety of cultural programmes organised at Hampi Utsav 2015 even on the second day on Saturday.

If renowned playback singers, including Javed Ali, Shalmala Kalgode and Guru Kiran, held the audience spell-bound, artistes of classical dance and music won the applause of connoisseurs of all age groups.

A ballet by Ramu Kanagal and troupe from Bangalore, cultural performances by troupes from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Iran, Afghanistan and Congo, depicting their folk culture, mesmerised the audience, which had swelled greatly, and was present till the end of the programmes.

At the art camp, artists coming from various places were seen capturing the natural landscape, the ancient monuments of Hampi on canvas using acrylic water colours. Art works were also on display for public viewing along with the photographs on Hampi and wildlife.

There was good response to some of the entertainment stalls with youths enthusiastically participating in Zip Line, Archery, Bunzy trampoline, bull ride, among others.
