Security situation of educational institutions was discussed in the meeting

 LAHORE (Dunya News) –  A  meeting was held at Jati Umrah Raiwind on Sunday 11th January 2015 between Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to discuss Pakistan’s socio-political situation. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on this occasion that the people of Pakistan are united in the fight against terrorism.


Accroding to the details, security situation of educational institutions was discussed in the meeting alongwith further processes needed for keeping everything peaceful in the country. It was also committed that a swift and strict action will be maintained in the fight against terrorism. Prime Minister Sharif said that the whole nation shows solidarity against terrorism.


He stated that operation Zarb-e-Azab is proceeding forward with remarkable success . He said that the approval of the 21st costitutional amendment in the parliament and the solidarity shown by all political party’s against the war on terrorism highlights the fact that considerable successes have been achieved.The effort was therefore commendable.


Pakistan has been going through a war against Islamic extremists for considerable time now and has suffered heavy casualities through this period. The government earlier this month made amendments in the constitution for the establishment of military courts as it deploys new tactics to curb violence and terrorist attacks. The government also beefed up the security of its educational institutions after the tragic attack on Army Public School by the terrorists.
