According to a release issued by the company, Mansons International has been encouraging the young talent over the last 24 months.

Prahaar Racing has built a race car named TPR-600, which is strictly designed according to the guidelines given by the SAE organisation. The guidelines dictate the need for a high-performance racing vehicle within a budget price. The said model is powered by an air-restricted Honda CBR 600R engine, which the team specially imported from USA. The 0.6 litre engine now powering the TPR-600 is capable of churning out a maximum power of 79.93bhp at 11,000rpm and a maximum torque of 64.79Nm at 7500rpm. According to the release, this is in line with the competition’s requirement of using engines with displacement under 610cc.

The entire vehicle including the special components were designed and developed by the students to build this car. Mansons says the Prahaar Racing team has been using Mansons’ tool room for designing and developing components like axle end spindles and gearbox housings, and fabrication and precision argon welding of the safety roll cage in its suspension system facility.

The racing team comprises of 20 enthusiastic students who were put together after a rigorous selection process involving a written test and an interview. Prior to its participation in the Supra SAEINDIA Formula Race, this team had also participated in the Baja SAEINDIA 2013, which was held in Indore. For that event, this team had built an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) which was also sponsored by Mansons International.
