Sanjay Dutt: This is how his life changed with jail term
Maharashtra government rejected the actor's application asking for another 14-day extension. The actor was asked to return to the Yerawada jail in Pune. The order stated that Dutt can avail of medical attention, if needed, in prison too. It said, hence, "as assured by you in your letter on January 8, 2015, return to the prison immediately". The actor was on a 14-day furlough which ended on January 8 and had sought another two-week extension. He is serving a five year prison term after his conviction under the Arms Act for illegal possession of an AK-56 rifle in 1993. Here's when he got a "deemed extension."
