JAMMU, Jan 9: Rich floral tributes were paid to late Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi, wife of Dr Karan Singh, Chairman Trustee, J&K Dharmarth Trust, and mother of Trustees Vikramaditya Singh and Ajat Shatru Singh on her 77th birth anniversary today. In this connection a function was organized by J&K Dharmarth Trust in the Ranbireshwar Temple Complex at Shalamar in which Vikramaditya Singh, Major General (Rtd), R S Jamwal, president Dharmarth Trust, Shashi Khajuria, secretary and other staff members and officials of the Trust participated. The hawan and poojan were also performed on this occasion in which large number of devotees also participated. The portrait of late Yasho Rajya Lakshmi was garlanded and offered flowers by the trustees and other officials in order to pay tributes. Paying tributes to his mother, Vikramaditya Singh recalled her role as a mother and a great social worker. He said that she had dedicated herself to the cause of the society in general and women folk in particular, as she took active part in social activities throughout her life. Blankets and clothes were distributed among the poor and needy people at Yasho-Karan Park Temple complex, Shalamar Road Jammu.
